Who are we?

Based on Jesus' prayer for his disciples in John 17, we believe that as a church God has called us to be:

Christ Centred

Not ‘Jesus and…’, but Jesus alone at the centre of our lives.
‘…glory has come to me through them…’  (John 17:10)

Righteous

God-directed living, thinking, and speaking.
‘Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth’  (John 17:17)

One

Not ‘I’ve won!’, but ‘We are one’
‘…that they may be one as we are one…’  (John 17:22)

Sent

A serving church rather than a consumer church.
‘As you sent me into the world, I have sent them…’  (John 17:18)

Spirit-filled

All God’s people using God’s gifts to the full
‘…so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them…’ (John 17:13)

What are we to do?

We believe God is calling us as a church to be:

A beacon in the community

'A city set on a hill cannot be hidden’ (Matthew 5:14)

Where are we going?

Our vision for the future is of an ‘Antioch’ church which is:

Innovative

- imparting biblical truth in new ways

Inspirational

- lighting fires in people's hearts for the Lord

Transformational

- a catalyst for God's change in individuals and society

Teaching

- a well for those who are thirsty for God's word

Serving

- a loving community ready to give and to receive

Sending

- sharing life with the wide church and community
