St Sebastian’s JC Week through the years

In 2010 we decided it would be good to learn more about the Jesus who died and rose for us. So for this year’s JC week each class took one of the ‘I Ams’ that Jesus said and thought about what that means (e.g. I am the bread of life, I am the good shepherd).

In 2009 we took the song, ‘Colours of Salvation’, which tells the meaning of the gospel through different colour flags. Each class took a different colour and explored what that colour represents in the Easter story. Some of the children learned a dance to the song which involved waving the flags.

Helping in Schools

Debbie Harris (Youth Worker) and Sally Alexander (Children’s Worker) regularly go into schools to help out in practical ways, such as hearing children read, helping with lessons and clubs, and chatting to children in the playground to build up relationships.
