The Mityana Charity (Reg. Charity 1064825) aims to alleviate poverty and to promote education and the Christian faith in Mityana, Uganda. Over the years St. Sebastian’s church has been very involved with this work.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN! The roots of the Charity go back to the visit of a former Vicar from St. Sebastian’s Church, and since then members of the church have maintained close contacts with Mityana.
SUPPORT FROM THE CHURCH
St. Sebastian's has sponsored the training of clergy in Mityana,
including that of their youngest Archdeacon (pictured left with a red
stole). The church has also supported the very successful visits of our
young people to Uganda.
