Day at Oakwood Youth Challenge Centre for Years 6, 7 and 8

Friday 29th October

During half term we had a wonderful day at Oakwood youth challenge. Fourteen young people from the church spent the day enjoying the challenge of the high ropes, the leap of faith, the flying kiwi and crate stacking. During a picnic lunch they had a chance to chat or play football, and after the activities they went back to the church for pizza. We ended the day with a short talk about the security we have in God throughout our lives, and how, like the rope we had put our trust and security in all day, He will always be there to help us and ‘catch us’ when we ‘fall’.

The day was a great chance for children from the top end of the children’s work to get together with some of the youth from the youth groups and spend time with them in preparation for moving up to the youth groups in September.
